Through its subsidiary Industrial, the Spanish multinational group OHL entrusts the Normetal Group to carry out work in design, engineering, manufacturing and construction of a life base, as well as all of the associated civil engineering works.

The life base has over 500 m2 of storage space and more than 1,100 m2 devoted to various constructions such as control stations, offices, training rooms, a cafeteria, changing rooms and bathrooms. lt is part of the initial stage of an industrial project to build a cement factory, which will be created in the municipality of Sonsón, in the Colombian department of Antioquia. Its production capacity will be 3,150 tonnes of clinker per day and approximately 1.35 million tonnes of cement annually.

This contract has allowed the Normetal Group to consolidate its presence in Latin America and its vocation as a construction company, with turnkey projects in the sector of prefabricated modular construction in steel.
